This policy explains how VelvetCart collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit the store, create an account, place an order or join Velvet Rewards.

2. Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address, password hash, member ID and referral code.
Order information: delivery address, contact details, items purchased, order value and payment method. Card details are handled directly by our payment processor and never stored on our servers.
Membership information: reward points, tier status and loyalty activity.
Technical information: a session cookie keeps you signed in, and cart contents are stored locally in your browser.
3. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. When you choose card payment, you are redirected to Stripe Checkout and your card details are submitted directly to Stripe under its privacy policy.
Cash on delivery orders are recorded with the payment method and status so our team can collect payment at the door. We do not request or store full card numbers, bank credentials or wallet seed phrases.
4. How we use information
We use your information to fulfil orders, provide customer support, manage rewards, prevent fraud and improve the shopping experience.
We do not sell personal information. We share only what is necessary with payment and delivery providers.
6. Retention
Account and order records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, meet accounting obligations and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact our support team.
